Recent versions of the OS X linker support this but follow the existing
OS X linker convention of using an underscore in the option name, i.e.,
-export_dynamic. Rather than changing our configure scripts to check for
that alternate spelling, it is simpler to just use the compiler's -rdynamic
option and let it deal with translating that to the appropriate linker
option. One potential disadvantage of this approach is that the compiler
will typically ignore -rdynamic on platforms where it is not supported, so
the HAVE_LINK_EXPORT_DYNAMIC in config.h will not necessarily show whether
that option has any effect or not. I don't see any in-tree uses of that
macro, so I'm assuming it is OK.

When a 1-element vector alloca is promoted, a store instruction can often be
rewritten without converting the value to a scalar and using an insertelement
instruction to stuff it into the new alloca. This patch just adds a check
to skip that conversion when it is unnecessary. This turns out to be really
important for some ARM Neon operations where <1 x i64> is used to get around
the fact that i64 is not a legal type.

JITTest_AvailableExternallyGlobal
The change in r181200 commented them out, which caused the test to fail to
link, at least on Darwin. I have only reverted the change for arm, since I
can't test the other targets and since it sounds like that change was fixing
real problems for those other targets. It should be possible to rearrange the
code to keep those definitions outside the #ifdefs, but that should be done by
someone who can reproduce the problems that r181200 was trying to fix.
git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@182233 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
This fixes a bootstrapping problem with builds for Apple ARM targets.
Clang had the wrong prototype for __clear_cache with ARM targets. Rafael
fixed that in clang svn r181784 and r181810, but without those changes,
we can't build this code for ARM because clang reports an error about the
declaration in Memory.inc not matching the builtin declaration. Some of our
buildbots need to use an older compiler that doesn't have the clang fix.
Since __clear_cache is never used here when __APPLE__ is defined, I'm just
conditionalizing the declaration to match that. I also moved the declaration
of sys_icache_invalidate inside the conditional for __APPLE__ while I was at
it.

This reverts my commit 171047. Now that I've removed my misguided attempt to

It would take quite a bit more work to generalize them properly, so I'm
just reverting this.

This reverts r171041. This was a nice idea that didn't work out well.
Clang warnings need to be associated with warning groups so that they can
be selectively disabled, promoted to errors, etc. This simplistic patch didn't
allow for that. Enhancing it to provide some way for the backend to specify
a front-end warning type seems like overkill for the few uses of this, at
least for now.
git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@174748 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
Aside from the question of whether we report a warning or an error when we
can't satisfy a requested stack object alignment, the current implementation
of this is not good. We're not providing any source location in the diagnostics
and the current warning is not connected to any warning group so you can't
control it. We could improve the source location somewhat, but we can do a
much better job if this check is implemented in the front-end, so let's do that
instead. <rdar://problem/13127907>

Without this change, when the estimated cost for inlining a function with
an "alwaysinline" attribute was lower than the inlining threshold, the
getInlineCost function was returning that estimated cost rather than the
special InlineCost::AlwaysInlineCost value. That is fine in the normal
inlining case, but it can fail when the inliner considers the opportunity
cost of inlining into an internal or linkonce-odr function. It may decide
not to inline the always-inline function in that case. The fix here is just
to make getInlineCost always return the special value for always-inline
functions. I ran into this building clang with libc++. Tablegen failed to
link because of an always-inline function that was not inlined. I have been
unable to reduce the testcase down to a reasonable size.

I also moved the SDKROOT setting into the make flags, since clearing it from

Rationale: For each preprocessor macro, either the definedness is what's
meaningful, or the value is what's meaningful, or both. If definedness is
meaningful, we should use #ifdef. If the value is meaningful, we should use
and #ifdef interchangeably for the same macro, seems ugly to me, even if
undefined macros are zero if used.
This also has the benefit that including an LLVM header doesn't prevent
you from compiling with -Wundef -Werror.

as a Def. Otherwise, without this check, the code here was just skipping over

The previous change caused fast isel to not attempt handling any calls to
builtin functions. That included things like "printf" and caused some
noticable regressions in compile time. I wanted to avoid having fast isel
keep a separate list of functions that had to be kept in sync with what the
code in SelectionDAGBuilder.cpp was handling. I've resolved that here by
moving the list into TargetLibraryInfo. This is somewhat redundant in
SelectionDAGBuilder but it will ensure that we keep things consistent.

This is still a work in progress but I believe it is currently good enough
to fix PR13122 "Need unit test driver for codegen IR passes". For example,
you can run llc with -stop-after=loop-reduce to have it dump out the IR after
running LSR. Serializing machine-level IR is not yet supported but we have
some patches in progress for that.
The plan is to serialize the IR to a YAML file, containing separate sections
for the LLVM IR, machine-level IR, and whatever other info is needed. Chad
suggested that we stash the stop-after pass in the YAML file and use that
instead of the start-after option to figure out where to restart the
compilation. I think that's a great idea, but since it's not implemented yet
I put the -start-after option into this patch for testing purposes.

The tLDRr instruction with the last register operand set to the zero register
prints in assembly as if no register was specified, and the assembler encodes
it as a tLDRi instruction with a zero immediate. With the integrated assembler,
that zero register gets emitted as "r0", so we get "ldr rx, [ry, r0]" which
is broken. Emit the instruction as tLDRi with a zero immediate. I don't
know if there's a good way to write a testcase for this. Suggestions welcome.
Opportunities for follow-up work:
1) The asm printer should complain if a non-optional register operand is set
to the zero register, instead of silently dropping it.
2) The integrated assembler should complain in the same situation, instead of
silently emitting the operand as "r0".

We used to rely on the *eh_sjlj_setjmp instructions to mark that a function

the recent reorganization of ARM EH, those eh_sjlj_setjmp instructions are

that instruction cannot be expanded early. This also more accurately reflects
when the registers are clobbered.

to be able to install them to a different location. This adds a new
--with-internal-prefix configure option and a corresponding PROJ_internal_prefix
makefile variable, which defaults to the standard prefix. A tool makefile
can specify that it should be installed to this internal prefix by defining
INTERNAL_TOOL.

There may be many invokes that share one landing pad, and the previous code
would record the landing pad once for each invoke. Besides the wasted
effort, a pair of volatile loads gets inserted every time the landing pad is
processed. The rest of the code can get optimized away when a landing pad
is processed repeatedly, but the volatile loads remain, resulting in code like:

This same basic code was in the older version of the SjLj exception handling,
but it was removed in the recent revisions to that code. It needs to be there.

The EmitBasePointerRecalculation function has 2 problems, one minor and one
fatal. The minor problem is that it inserts the code at the setjmp
instead of in the dispatch block. The fatal problem is that at the point
where this code runs, we don't know whether there will be a base pointer,
so the entire function is a no-op. The base pointer recalculation needs to
be handled as it was before, by inserting a pseudo instruction that gets
expanded late.
Most of the support for the old approach is still here, but it no longer
has any connection to the eh_sjlj_dispatchsetup intrinsic. Clean up the
parts related to the intrinsic and just generate the pseudo instruction
directly.
