Chris Lattner 387c9dcdda enhance the intrinsic info stuff to emit encodings that don't fit in 32-bits into a 
separate side table, using the handy SequenceToOffsetTable class.  This encodes all
these weird things into another 256 bytes, allowing all intrinsics to be encoded this way.

Chris Lattner d7cf5eb021 finish encoding all of the interesting details of intrinsics. Now intrinsics 
are only rejected because they can't be encoded into a 32-bit unit, not because
they contain an unencodable feature.

Chris Lattner a98aa6ad1e Significantly reduce the compiled size of Functions.cpp by turning a big blob of tblgen 
generated code (for Intrinsic::getType) into a table.  This handles common cases right now,
but I plan to extend it to handle all cases and merge in type verification logic as well
in follow-on patches.

Chris Lattner 1aa73cc05a Fix two bugpoint bugs: 
1) opt is not usually in the same path as the target program. Even for
the bugpoint as a standalone app, it should be more portable to search
in PATH, isn't it?
2) bugpoint driver accounts opt plugins, but does not list them in the
final output command.

Chris Lattner 009e2650d6 fix PR12075, a regression in a recent transform I added. In unreachable code, gep chains can be infinite. Just like "stripPointerCasts", use a set to keep track of visited instructions so we don't recurse infinitely.

Chris Lattner 4871701437 No actual functional change here, just some clarifications: 
Clarify that contributors are agreeing to license their code under the 
license corresponding to the subproject that they are contributing to,
as requested by a potential contributor.

Also, as a drive-by, update the llvm-gcc/GPL section to mention dragonegg
and say that GPL code is all in its own repo's.

Chris Lattner 18c7f80b3e reapply the patches reverted in r149470 that reenable ConstantDataArray, 
but with a critical fix to the SelectionDAG code that optimizes copies
from strings into immediate stores: the previous code was stopping reading
string data at the first nul.  Address this by adding a new argument to
llvm::getConstantStringInfo, preserving the behavior before the patch.

Chris Lattner 3ef9cfef13 Change ConstantArray::get to form a ConstantDataArray when possible, 
kicking in the big win of ConstantDataArray.  As part of this, change
the implementation of GetConstantStringInfo in ValueTracking to work
with ConstantDataArray (and not ConstantArray) making it dramatically,
amazingly, more efficient in the process and renaming it to 
getConstantStringInfo.

This keeps around a GetConstantStringInfo entrypoint that (grossly)
forwards to getConstantStringInfo and constructs the std::string 
required, but existing clients should move over to 
getConstantStringInfo instead.

Chris Lattner 73858d1689 Rewrite CanShareConstantPoolEntry to be implemented in terms of the 
mid-level constant folding APIs instead of doing its own analysis.
This makes it more general (e.g. can now share a <2 x i64> with a
<4 x i32>) and avoid duplicating a bunch of logic.

Chris Lattner 1a8def6ad6 Reduce a lot of code duplication by implementing 
ConstantExpr::getWithOperandReplaced and ConstantExpr::replaceUsesOfWithOnConstant
 in terms of ConstantExpr::getWithOperands.  While we're at it,
make sure that ConstantExpr::getWithOperands covers all instructions: it was
missing insert/extractvalue.

Chris Lattner 56243b89e7 eliminate the Constant::getVectorElements method. There are better (and 
more robust) ways to do what it was doing now.  Also, add static methods
for decoding a ShuffleVector mask.

Chris Lattner e150e2df42 Add a ConstantDataVector::getSplatValue() method, for parity with 
ConstantVector.  Fix some outright bugs in the implementation of
ConstantArray and Constant struct, which would cause us to not make
one big UndefValue when asking for an array/struct with all undef
elements.  Enhance Constant::isAllOnesValue to work with
ConstantDataVector.

Chris Lattner 6e3abaa77f Ok, break down and add some cast<>'ing helper methods to the Type class 
to reduce the number of cast<>'s we have.  This allows someone to use
things like Ty->getVectorNumElements() instead of 
cast<VectorType>(Ty)->getNumElements() when you know that a type is a
vector.

It would be a great general cleanup to move the codebase to use these,
I will do so in the code I'm touching.

Chris Lattner 9e631da253 Add AsmPrinter (aka MCLowering) support for ConstantDataSequential, 
and clean up some other misc stuff.  Unlike ConstantArray, we will
prefer to emit .fill directives for "String" arrays that all have
the same value, since they are denser than emitting a .ascii

Chris Lattner 6233907312 Add various "string" methods to ConstantDataSequential, which have the 
same semantics as ConstantArray's but much more efficient because they

Chris Lattner dada586f16 switch SCEV to use the new ConstantFoldLoadThroughGEPIndices function 
instead of its own hard coded thing, allowing it to handle 
ConstantDataSequential and fixing some obscure bugs (e.g. it would
previously crash on a CAZ of vector type).

Chris Lattner a97ddd0cff Split the interesting bits of ConstantFoldLoadThroughGEPConstantExpr 
out into a new ConstantFoldLoadThroughGEPIndices (more useful) function
and rewrite it to be simpler, more efficient, and to handle the new
ConstantDataSequential type.

Enhance ConstantFoldLoadFromConstPtr to handle ConstantDataSequential.

Chris Lattner 27dd9cf5d1 start the implementation of a new ConstantDataVector and ConstantDataArray 
classes, per PR1324.  Not all of their helper functions are implemented,
nothing creates them, and the rest of the compiler doesn't handle them yet.

Chris Lattner 9df0fb4e81 convert CAZ, UndefValue, and CPN to use DenseMap's again, this time without 
using OwningPtr.  OwningPtr would barf when the densemap had to reallocate,
which doesn't appear to happen on the regression test suite, but obviously
happens in real life :)
