Dan Gohman 8ee731f2ce Fix the folding of floating-point math library calls, like sin(infinity), 
so that it detects errors on platforms where libm doesn't set errno.
It's still subject to host libm details though.

Dan Gohman b2143b6247 Remove the experimental AliasAnalysis::getDependency interface, which 
isn't a good level of abstraction for memdep. Instead, generalize
AliasAnalysis::alias and related interfaces with a new Location
class for describing a memory location. For now, this is the same
Pointer and Size as before, plus an additional field for a TBAA tag.

Also, introduce a fixed MD_tbaa metadata tag kind.

Dan Gohman 5781f3e9fc When a function-local value with function-local metadata uses gets RAUWed with a 
non-function-local value, it may result in the metadata no longer needing to be
function-local. Check for this condition, and clear the isFunctionLocal flag, if
it's still in the uniquing map, since any node in the uniquing map needs to have
an accurate function-local flag.

Also, add an assert to help catch problematic cases.

Dan Gohman 70c2fc0823 Discard metadata produced by LLVM 2.7. The value enumeration it used 
is different from what the code now uses in a two ways: NamedMDNodes
were considered Values and included in the numbering, and the
function-local metadata counter wasn't reset between functions.

The later problem breaks lazy deserialization, so instead of trying
to emulate the old numbering, just drop the old metadata. The only
in-tree use case is debug info with LTO, where the QOI loss is
considered acceptable.

Dan Gohman 46ffb231c6 Disable the asserts that check that normalization is perfectly 
invertible. ScalarEvolution's folding routines don't always succeed
in canonicalizing equal expressions to a single canonical form, and
this can cause these asserts to fail, even though there's no actual
correctness problem. This fixes PR8066.

Dan Gohman 776339ee27 Use the FindProgramByName fallback only with known absolute paths. 
I wasn't able to convince myself that all GetMainExecutable
implementations always return absolute paths; this prevents
unexpected behavior in case they ever don't.

Dan Gohman 24bde5bce1 Don't narrow the load and store in a load+twiddle+store sequence unless 
there are clearly no stores between the load and the store. This fixes
this miscompile reported as PR7833.

This breaks the test/CodeGen/X86/narrow_op-2.ll optimization, which is
safe, but awkward to prove safe. Move it to X86's README.txt.

Dan Gohman d4c454317a Make tool_output_file's raw_ostream instance a member variable instead 
of a base class.

This makes it possible to unregister the file from FilesToRemove when
the file is done. Also, this eliminates the need for
formatted_tool_output_file.

Dan Gohman 25608f7f4b Fix several areas in LSR to do a better job keeping the main

Dan Gohman 67ef74e0e5 Optimize SCEVComplexityCompare. Use a 3-way return instead of a 2-way 
return to avoid needing two calls to test for equivalence, and sort
addrecs by their degree before examining their operands.

Dan Gohman 6cb8c23db1 Reapply r112091 and r111922, support for metadata linking, with a 
fix: add a flag to MapValue and friends which indicates whether
any module-level mappings are being made. In the common case of
inlining, no module-level mappings are needed, so MapValue doesn't
need to examine non-function-local metadata, which can be very
expensive in the case of a large module with really deep metadata
(e.g. a large C++ program compiled with -g).

This flag is a little awkward; perhaps eventually it can be moved
into the ClonedCodeInfo class.

Dan Gohman 698138384e Fix the bitcode reader to clear out function-specific state
