Rafael Espindola dd76f18f90 Add a pass-through option to the plugin. The use case for this option is to 
ask the linker to take another look into some library or object. The case when
one might want to do this is when codegen introduces a new undefined reference.
The canonical example is libgcc.

Rafael Espindola 98dc202be0 Fix a gcc warning: 
'class llvm::DAGDeltaAlgorithm' has virtual functions and accessible non-virtual destructor

Not sure if this is the best solution, but this class has state and some of the
classes that inherit from it also do, so it looks appropriate.

Rafael Espindola c72f8e9f9d Don't preserve all symbols in a .so and instead trust gold to know what is 
needed. The result is that now we are able to drop unnecessary symbol from
shared libraries.

Rafael Espindola ce48c1de82 Remove uses of getCalleeSavedRegClasses from outside the 
backends and removes the virtual declaration. With that out of the way

Rafael Espindola a3b1119977 Drop support for the InReg attribute on the ppc backend. This was used by 
llvm-gcc but has been replaced with pad argument which don't need any

Rafael Espindola fda60d35c2 Fix libstdc++ build on ARM linux and part of PR5770. 
MI was not being used but it was also not being deleted, so it was kept in the garbage list. The memory itself was freed once the function code gen was done.

Once in a while the codegen of another function would create an instruction on the same address. Adding it to the garbage group would work once, but when another pointer was added it would cause an assert as "Cache" was about to be pushed to Ts.

For a patch that make us detect problems like this earlier, take a look at

With that patch we assert as soon and the new instruction is added to the garbage set.

Rafael Espindola c1382b745f This fixes functions like 
void f (int a1, int a2, int a3, int a4, int a5,...)

In ARMTargetLowering::LowerFormalArguments if the function has 4 or
more regular arguments we used to set VarArgsFrameIndex using an
offset of 0, which is only correct if the function has exactly 4
regular arguments.

Rafael Espindola 42de34f013 Remove the gcc= option. llvm-gcc uses only as= 
Look for as in the path. Doing it here instead
of llvm-gcc because llvm-gcc has nothing as
convenient as sys::Program::FindProgramByName.

Rafael Espindola 2ee3db3003 For general dynamic TLS access we must use 
leaq	foo@TLSGD(%rip), %rdi

as part of the instruction sequence. Using a register other than %rdi and then
copying it to %rdi is not valid.

Rafael Espindola 2a6411bbbd Reduce code duplication on the TLS implementation. 
This introduces a small regression on the generated code
quality in the case we are just computing addresses, not
loading values.

Will work on it and on X86-64 support.

Rafael Espindola a82dfca8c6 I am trying to add a segment to the X86 addresses matching to 
improve TLS support (see http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvm-commits/Week-of-Mon-20090309/075220.html), but that code is VERY brittle.

This patch just makes it a bit more resistant.

Rafael Espindola 152932b71c Don't force promotion of return arguments on the callee. 
Some architectures (like x86) don't require it.

The EH_frame and .eh symbols are now private, except for darwin9 and earlier.
The patch also fixes the definition of PrivateGlobalPrefix on pcc linux.
