Brian Gaeke ee8adb1955 This version of Linker.cpp works a lot better, but it's a little messy. Sorry. 
Use FileOpenable() instead of FileExists().
Create IsBytecode() predicate -- like IsArchive(), but for bytecode files.
Use IsBytecode() before trying to load any file as a bytecode file.

Brian Gaeke e9414cab00 Fix problems linking against the reoptimizer; _llvm_regAllocState must have 
externally-visible linkage, and SaveStateToModule must default to true for llc.
I don't remember why I made it const; perhaps it should be deconstified.

Brian Gaeke 213904133d Operand numbers are now ints. Save the register allocation of the value 
each instruction produces as "operand" -1, and the other operands as 0
.. n, as before. PhyRegAlloc::saveState() is refactored into
PhyRegAlloc::saveStateForValue().

Brian Gaeke dbde1ae7a0 popStackAndReturnValueToCaller() must advance instruction pointer to normal 
destination, if returning from an invoke.

Brian Gaeke 3b3640a373 Shorten and correct some function-header comments. 
Make "verbose" output MUCH nicer. Now it tells you when you are linking a
bytecode file, or an archive, and whether it's because you called it by name,
or because you gave it a -l option, and it says "Trying" before it takes
action and prints a message in the past tense afterwards.

Make LinkFiles not skip the first file in Files.

Make LinkFiles warn you if it can't find a file and LLVM_LIB_SEARCH_PATH is
unset.

Brian Gaeke 55766e139a Update verifySavedState()'s comment, so that it reflects its current

Brian Gaeke 3ceac85296 Include llvm/CodeGen/MachineCodeForInstruction.h. Use it to start 
implementing verifySavedState().

In saveState(), use the new AllocInfo::AllocStateTy enum, and increment
Insn each time through the loop.

Brian Gaeke 8fc493430c Publicize the type of FnAllocState. 
Prototype option to save state in a global instead of as a Constant in

ArrayChecksEnabled and non-QuietMode are history.
The ExecutionAnnotations (SlotNumber, InstNumber, and FunctionInfo) are history.
ExecutionContext now keeps Values for each stack frame in a std::map.
Stop pre-initializing Values on the stack to 42.
Remove some dead variables, excess whitespace and commented-out code.
executeInstruction() is now part of run().
printValue() and print() are history.

Brian Gaeke 242978cdee Destroy MachineFunction for any Function that we are about to 
recompile and relink. This keeps it from failing an assertion when
it goes and tries to construct a new MachineFunction for that Function.

Brian Gaeke 537132bf12 Move AllocInfo structure to a private AllocInfo.h header file. 
Make FnAllocState contain vectors of AllocInfo, instead of LLVM Constants.
Give doFinalization a method comment, and let it do the work of converting
 AllocInfos to LLVM Constants.

Brian Gaeke 6ff3310c49 Always say "the test program", part 2. 
Refer to the various "modules" of bugpoint as "debuggers", not
 "debugging modes" or "modules". I think this is more evocative of
 how they typically act, and it's shorter.
Add a note about how a linker bug can crash bugpoint early.

Brian Gaeke 237b366564 Minor edits to Description section. 
Add Design Philosophy as a separate subsection.  Clarify its last sentence.
Give Automatic Mode Selection a uniquely-named anchor.
Always call the program the "test program", instead of the "initial program",
 the "LLVM program", the "test case", the "resultant module", etc.
Try to explain the assumptions a little more, instead of just describing the
 process.

Brian Gaeke 4ca7e53690 Refactor jump insertion code from CompilationCallback() into insertJumpAtAddr(). 
Make insertFarJumpAtAddr() return void, because nothing uses its return value.
Remove some commented-out code.
Implement replaceMachineCodeForFunction() for SPARC.
