The .error directive is similar to .err in that it will halt assembly if it is
evaluated for assembly. However, it permits a user supplied message to be
rendered.

.align is handled specially on certain targets. .align without any parameters
on ARM indicates a default alignment (4). Handle the special case in the target
parser, but fall back to the generic parser for the normal version.

This adds support for the .short and its alias .hword for adding literal values
into the object file. This is similar to the .word directive, however, rather
than inserting a value of 4 bytes, adds a 2-byte value.

Offsets past the range of single-slash encoding are encoded as base64,
padded to 6 characters, and prefixed with two slashes. This encoding is
undocumented but used by MSVC.

Summary:
This removes the need to coerce UnknownABI to the default ABI (O32 for
MIPS32, N64 for MIPS64 [*]) in both MipsSubtarget and MipsAsmParser.
Clang has been updated to disable both possible default ABI's before enabling
the ABI it intends to use.
[*] N64 being the default for MIPS64 is not actually correct.
However N32 is not fully implemented/tested yet.

This enhances the macro parser to parse and handle parameter qualifications,
which is needed to support required formal parameters in macro definitions. A
required parameter may not be defaulted (though providing a default value is
accepted with a warning). This improves GAS compatibility.

simply gives an error and does not triggers an assertion.
As Jim points out, the diagnostic is really strange here,
but fixing that would be more complicated. The missing
comma results in the parser expecting a construct like r2[2],
which is the vector index thing the error message is talking
about. That's not what the user intended, though, and there's
nothing else in the instruction that looks at all like a vector.
Yet more fallout from not having a real parser here and trying
to do context-free generic matching for addressing modes.

Until this point only macro definition with named parameters were parsed but the
names were ignored. This adds support for using that information for named
parameter instantiation.
In order to support the full semantics of the keyword arguments, the arguments
are no longer lazily initialised since the keyword arguments can be specified
out of order and partially if they are defaulted. Prepopulate the arguments
with the default value for any defaulted parameters, and then parse the
specified arguments.
This simplies some of the handling of the arguments in the inner loop since
empty arguments simply increment the parameter index and move on.
Note that keyword and positional arguments cannot be mixed.

The Linux kernel defines empty macros for compatibility with ARM UAL syntax.
The comma after the name is optional, and if present can be safely lexed. This
improves compatibility with the GNU assembler.

This adds a partial implementation of the .arch_extension directive to the
integrated ARM assembler. There are a number of limitations to this
implementation arising from the target backend support rather than the
implementation itself. Namely, iWMMXT (v1 and v2), Maverick, and XScale support
is not present in the ARM backend. Currently, there is no check for A-class
only (needed for virt), and no ARMv6k detection (needed for os and sec). The
remainder of the extensions are fully supported.

This makes the tests more readable by using the -arm-attributes decoding support
in llvm-readobj since that is now available. Change the invocation commands to
be similar to other test and use a more precise triple (the tests only require
ARM EABI support).

In Thumb1 mode, bl instruction might be selected for branches between
basic blocks in the function if the offset is greater than 2KB.
However, this might cause SEGV because the destination symbol
is not marked as thumb function and the execution mode will be reset
to ARM mode.
Since we are sure that these symbols are in the same data fragment, we
can simply resolve these local symbols, and don't emit any relocation
information for this bl instruction.

Per the GAS documentation, .fill should permit pattern widths that
aren't a power of two. While I was in the neighborhood, I added some
sanity checking. This change was motivated by a use of this construct
in the Linux Kernel.

Kill the horrid and incomplete special case and FIXME in

The .object_arch directive indicates an alternative architecture to be specified
in the object file. The directive does *not* effect the enabled feature bits
for the object file generation. This is particularly useful when the code
performs runtime detection and would like to indicate a lower architecture as
the requirements than the actual instructions used.

.movsp is an ARM unwinding directive that indicates to the unwinder that a
register contains an offset from the current stack pointer. If the offset is
unspecified, it defaults to zero.

This enhances the ARMAsmParser to handle .tlsdescseq directives. This is a
slightly special relocation. We must be able to generate them, but not consume
them in assembly. The relocation is meant to assist the linker in generating a
TLS descriptor sequence. The ELF target streamer is enhanced to append
additional fixups into the current segment and that is used to emit the new
R_ARM_TLS_DESCSEQ relocations.

This adds support for TLS CALL relocations. TLS CALL relocations are used to
indicate to the linker to generate appropriate entries to resolve TLS references
via an appropriate function invocation (e.g. __tls_get_addr(PLT)).
In order to accomodate the linker relaxation of the TLS access model for the
references (GD/LD -> IE, IE -> LE), the relocation addend must be incomplete.
This requires that the partial inplace value is also incomplete (i.e. 0). We
simply avoid the offset value calculation at the time of the fixup adjustment in
the ARM assembler backend.

The linux kernel makes uses of a GAS `feature' which substitutes nothing
for macro arguments which aren't specified.
Proper support for these kind of macro arguments necessitated a cleanup of
differences between `GAS' and `Darwin' dialect macro processing.

After all hard work to implement the EHABI and with the test-suite
passing, it's time to turn it on by default and allow users to
disable it as a work-around while we fix the eventual bugs that show
up.
This commit also remove the -arm-enable-ehabi-descriptors, since we
want the tables to be printed every time the EHABI is turned on
for non-Darwin ARM targets.
Although MCJIT EHABI is not working yet (needs linking with the right
libraries), this commit also fixes some relocations on MCJIT regarding
the EH tables/lib calls, and update some tests to avoid using EH tables
when none are needed.
The EH tests in the test-suite that were previously disabled on ARM
now pass with these changes, so a follow-up commit on the test-suite
will re-enable them.

This commit seeks to do two things:
- Run the surfeit of tests under the Darwin dialect. This ends up
affecting tests which assumed that spaces could deliminate arguments.
- The GAS dialect tests should limit their surface area to things that
could plausibly work under GAS. For example, Darwin style arguments
have no business being in such a test.

This brings MC into line with GNU 'as' on ARM, and it brings the ARM
target into line with most other LLVM targets, which declare the
initial CFI state with addInitialFrameState().
Without this, functions generated with .cfi_startproc/endproc on ARM
will tend to cause GDB to abort with:
gdb/dwarf2-frame.c:1132: internal-error: Unknown CFA rule.
I've also tested this by comparing the output of "readelf -w" on the
object files produced by llvm-mc and gas when given the .s file added
here.

This commit allows LLVM MC to process .cfi_startproc directives when
they are followed by an additional `simple' identifier. This signals to
elide the emission of target specific CFI instructions that would
normally occur initially.

If a complex expression was passed to the .word directive and the first part of
the directive failed to parse, a secondary diagnostic would be produced that
would clutter the error diagnostics. Improve the diagnostics by consuming the
remainder of the statement.

An emitted diagnostic for an invalid relocation variant would place the caret on
the token following the relocation variant indicator or at the end of the line
if there was no following token. This change corrects the placement of the

r200051 is broken: I tries to replace .mips_hack_elf_flags, which is a good
thing, but what it replaces it with is even worse.
The new emitMipsELFFlags it adds corresponds to no assembly directive, is not
marked as a hack and is not even printed to the .s file.
The patch also introduces more uses of hasRawTextSupport.
The correct way to remove .mips_hack_elf_flags is to have the mips target
streamer handle the default flags (and command line options). That way the
same code path is used for asm and obj. The streamer interface should *really*
correspond to what is printed in the .s file.

This patch uses a common MipsTargetSteamer interface for both
MipsAsmPrinter and MipsAsmParser for recording default and commandline
driven directives that affect ELF header flags.
It has been noted that the .ll tests affected by this patch belong in
test/Codegen/Mips. I will move them in a separate patch.
Also, a number of directives do not get expressed by AsmPrinter in the
resultant .s assembly such as setting the correct ASI. I have noted this
in the tests and they will be addressed in later patches.

Add support to llvm-readobj to decode the actual opcodes. The ARM EHABI opcodes
are a variable length instruction set that describe the operations required for
properly unwinding stack frames.
The primary motivation for this change is to ease the creation of tests for the
ARM EHABI object emission as well as the unwinding directive handling in the ARM
IAS.

This implements the unwind_raw directive for the ARM IAS. The unwind_raw
directive takes the form of a stack offset value followed by one or more bytes
representing the opcodes to be emitted. The opcode emitted will interpreted as
if it were assembled by the opcode assembler via the standard unwinding
directives.

The .personalityindex directive is equivalent to the .personality directive with
the ARM EABI personality with the specific index (0, 1, 2). Both of these
directives indicate personality routines, so enhance the personality directive
handling to take into account personalityindex.
Bonus fix: flush the UnwindContext at the beginning of a new function.

The addition of IC_OPSIZE_ADSIZE in r198759 wasn't quite complete. It
also turns out to have been unnecessary. The disassembler handles the
AdSize prefix for itself, and doesn't care about the difference between
(e.g.) MOV8ao8 and MOB8ao8_16 definitions. So just let them coexist and
don't worry about it.

The disassembler has a special case for 'L' vs. 'W' in its heuristic for
checking for 32-bit and 16-bit equivalents. We could expand the heuristic,
but better just to be consistent in using the 'L' suffix.

When disassembling in 16-bit mode the meaning of the OpSize bit is
inverted. Instructions found in the IC_OPSIZE context will actually
*not* have the 0x66 prefix, and instructions in the IC context will
have the 0x66 prefix. Make use of the existing special-case handling
for the 0x66 prefix being in the wrong place, to cope with this.

ARM assembly syntax uses @ for a comment, execpt for the second
parameter of the .symver directive which requires @ as part of the
symbol name. This commit fixes the parsing of this directive by
adding a special case for ARM for this one argumnet.
To make the change we had to move the AllowAtInIdentifier variable
to the MCAsmLexer interface (from AsmLexer) and expose a setter for
the value. The ELFAsmParser then toggles this value when parsing
the second argument to the .symver directive for a target that
uses @ as a comment symbol

MSVC on x64 requires that we create image relative symbol
references to refer to RTTI data. Seeing as how there is no way to
explicitly make reference to a given relocation type in LLVM IR, pattern

The GNU as behavior is a bit different and very strange. It will mark any
label that contains an instruction. We can implement that, but using the
type looks more natural since gas will not mark a function if a .word is
used to output the instructions!

This finishes the job started in r198756, and creates separate opcodes for
64-bit vs. 32-bit versions of the rest of the RET instructions too.
LRETL/LRETQ are interesting... I can't see any justification for their
existence in the SDM. There should be no 'LRETL' in 64-bit mode, and no
need for a REX.W prefix for LRETQ. But this is what GAS does, and my
Sandybridge CPU and an Opteron 6376 concur when tested as follows:

cf. PR8592 and commit r118903, which added LRETQ. I only added LRETIQ to
match it.
I don't quite understand how the Intel syntax parsing for ret
instructions is working, despite r154468 allegedly fixing it. Aren't the
explicitly sized 'retw', 'retd' and 'retq' supposed to work? I have at
least made the 'lretq' work with (and indeed *require*) the 'q'.

The target specific parser should return `false' if the target AsmParser handles
the directive, and `true' if the generic parser should handle the directive.
Many of the target specific directive handlers would `return Error' which does
not follow these semantics. This change simply changes the target specific
routines to conform to the semantis of the ParseDirective correctly.
Conformance to the semantics improves diagnostics emitted for the invalid
directives. X86 is taken as a sample to ensure that multiple diagnostics are
not presented for a single error.

An improper qualifier would result in a superfluous error due to the parser not
consuming the remainder of the statement. Simply consume the remainder of the
statement to avoid the error.

The implicit immediate 0 forms are assembly aliases, not distinct instruction
encodings. Fix the initial implementation introduced in r198914 to an alias to
avoid two separate instruction definitions for the same encoding.
An InstAlias is insufficient in this case as the necessary due to the need to
add a new additional operand for the implicit zero. By using the AsmPsuedoInst,
fall back to the C++ code to transform the instruction to the equivalent
_POST_IMM form, inserting the additional implicit immediate 0.

A 32-bit immediate value can be formed from a constant expression and loaded
into a register. Add support to emit this into an object file. Because this
value is a constant, a relocation must *not* be produced for it.

The disassembler would no longer be able to disambiguage between the two
variants (explicit immediate #0 vs implicit, omitted #0) for the ldrt, strt,
ldrbt, strbt mnemonics as both versions indicated the disassembler routine.

The GNU assembler supports prefixing the expression with a '#' to indiciate that
the value that is being moved is infact a constant. This improves the
compatibility of the integrated assembler's parser for this.

The GNU assembler has an extension that allows for the elision of the paired
register (dt2) for the LDRD and STRD mnemonics. Add support for this in the
assembly parser. Canonicalise the usage during the instruction parsing from
the specified version.

The ARM ARM indicates the mnemonics as follows:

This improves the parser to deal with the implicit immediate 0 for the mnemonics
as per the specification.

We can't do a perfect job here. We *have* to allow (%dx) even in 64-bit
mode, for example, because it might be used for an unofficial form of
the in/out instructions. We actually want to do a better job of validation
*later*. Perhaps *instead* of doing it where we are at the moment.
But for now, doing what validation we *can* do in the place that the code
already has its validation, is an improvement.
