b027105fa5 Refactor MCJIT 32-bit section loading. 
Teach 32-bit section loading to use the Memory Manager interface, just like
the 64-bit loading does. Tidy up a few other things here and there.

c41ab789a0 RuntimeDyld should use the memory manager API. 
Start teaching the runtime Dyld interface to use the memory manager API
for allocating space. Rather than mapping directly into the MachO object,
we extract the payload for each object and copy it into a dedicated buffer
allocated via the memory manager. For now, just do Segment64, so this works
on x86_64, but not yet on ARM.

ce96902d88 Added *hidden* flags -print-options and -print-all-options so 
developers can see if their driver changed any cl::Option's. The
current implementation isn't perfect but handles most kinds of
options. This is nice to have when decomposing the stages of
compilation and moving between different drivers. It's also a good
sanity check when comparing results produced by different command line
invocations that are expected to produce the comparable results.

Note: This is not an attempt to prolong the life of cl::Option. On the
contrary, it's a placeholder for a feature that must exist when
cl::Option is replaced by a more appropriate framework. A new
framework needs: a central option registry, dynamic name lookup,
non-global containers of option values (e.g. per-module,
per-function), *and* the ability to print options values and their defaults at
any point during compilation.

fcbe5b7193 Layer the memory manager between the JIT and the runtime Dyld. 
The JITMemory manager references LLVM IR constructs directly, while the
runtime Dyld works at a lower level and can handle objects which may not
originate from LLVM IR. Introduce a new layer for the memory manager to
handle the interface between them. For the MCJIT, this layer will be almost
entirely simply a call-through w/ translation between the IR objects and
symbol names.

c2db19ebf4 Fix assignment of -fPIC to CMAKE_C_FLAGS. Configure llvm-config.in.in 
with the contents of CMAKE_C(XX)_FLAGS too, else `llvm-config
--c(xx)flags' doesn't tell the absolute truth.

This comes from PR9603 and is based on a patch by Ryuta Suzuki!

6e56331ed9 Library-ize the dyld components of llvm-rtdyld. 
Move the dynamic linking functionality of the llvm-rtdyld program into an
ExecutionEngine support library. Update llvm-rtdyld to just load an object
file into memory, use the library to process it, then run the _main()
function, if one is found.

a5c177e70a We need to pass the TargetMachine object to the InstPrinter if we are printing 
the alias of an InstAlias instead of the thing being aliased. Because we need to
know the features that are valid for an InstAlias.

31649e61bc Beginnings of MC-JIT code generation. 
Proof-of-concept code that code-gens a module to an in-memory MachO object.
This will be hooked up to a run-time dynamic linker library (see: llvm-rtdyld
for similarly conceptual work for that part) which will take the compiled
object and link it together with the rest of the system, providing back to the
JIT a table of available symbols which will be used to respond to the
getPointerTo*() queries.

35fdeb7b37 Add llvm-rtdyld support for loading 32-bit code. 
Factor out the 64-bit specific bits into a helper function and add an
equivalent that loads the 32-bit sections. This allows using llvm-rtdyld on ARM.

1cb19a4470 MachO file loader and execution utility. 
Add a bone-simple utility to load a MachO object into memory, look for
a function (main) in it, and run that function directly. This will be used
as a test and development platform for MC-JIT work regarding symbol resolution,
dynamic lookup, etc..

9a4584b54b Simplify the computation of undefined symbols. Instead of walking 
functions and initializers, just report the declarations present in
the module.

The motivation is to open the way for using the lazy module parsing,
which should speed up clients that just want a symbol list (nm, ar).

This is slightly less precise, but since both -strip-dead-prototypes
and -globaldce are part of the standard pipeline, this shouldn't
change the result for clang/dragonegg produced binaries.

Any decl in an IL file was also put there because a FE expected it
to be necessary, so this should not be a problem for "-O0 -emit-llvm".

As a sanity check, I have bootstrapped clang on linux and built
firefox on both linux and darwin. A clang bootstrap on darwin
with LTO fails with or without this patch because, ironically,
the linker doesn't like the combination of dead_strip and LTO
when building libLTO.so :-)

38c4e53549 Add a special streamer to libLTO that just records symbols definitions and 
uses.

The result produced by the streamer is used to give the linker more accurate
information and to add to llvm.compiler.used. The second improvement removes
the need for the user to add __attribute__((used)) to functions only used in
inline asm. The first one lets us build firefox with LTO on Darwin :-)

ebccf0891a This patch lets LLDB build as an LLVM subproject. LLDB is not built in 
parallel with the rest of the tools directory as it depends on Clang.

This patch was first applied in r125956 and subsequently reverted in
r125964 as it broke in-tree builds.  Makefile.rules was fixed up in 
r126070 to handle missing optional directories for the in-tree case,
so it should be safe now to bring this patch back in.

7593f34d67 Move check of command line options after command line parsing. 
The check to not allow -analyze and -disable-output at the same time was done
before parsing the command line flags. Therefore it never triggered, and in case
both options where used opt segfaulted. Fix this by moving this check a after
command line parsing.

baaadb2672 Add polly support to the build system. 
Update the cmake and autoconf build system to compile polly
as a shared library if it is checked out into tools/polly. In case
polly is not checked out, nothing changes.
This models the way clang can be added to llvm if checked out to tools/clang.

Also rebuild configure.

081c34b725 Get rid of static constructors for pass registration. Instead, every pass exposes an initializeMyPassFunction(), which 
must be called in the pass's constructor.  This function uses static dependency declarations to recursively initialize
the pass's dependencies.

Clients that only create passes through the createFooPass() APIs will require no changes.  Clients that want to use the
CommandLine options for passes will need to manually call the appropriate initialization functions in PassInitialization.h
before parsing commandline arguments.

I have tested this with all standard configurations of clang and llvm-gcc on Darwin.  It is possible that there are problems
with the static dependencies that will only be visible with non-standard options.  If you encounter any crash in pass
registration/creation, please send the testcase to me directly.

70c2fc0823 Discard metadata produced by LLVM 2.7. The value enumeration it used 
is different from what the code now uses in a two ways: NamedMDNodes
were considered Values and included in the numbering, and the
function-local metadata counter wasn't reset between functions.

The later problem breaks lazy deserialization, so instead of trying
to emulate the old numbering, just drop the old metadata. The only
in-tree use case is debug info with LTO, where the QOI loss is
considered acceptable.

e9dcd033e4 Execute all Pass Printers even if -quiet is set. 
Follow the same logic in the LoopPass, ModulePass and CallGraphSCCPass printers,
as it was already used in the BasicBlockPass and FunctionPass printers. This is
more consistent.

The other option would have been to completely disable dumping the analysis
information. However, as this information is the only information printed if the
-analysis flag is set, calling opt would not do anything at all.

d4c454317a Make tool_output_file's raw_ostream instance a member variable instead 
of a base class.

This makes it possible to unregister the file from FilesToRemove when
the file is done. Also, this eliminates the need for
formatted_tool_output_file.

a87c163355 Fix the msvs 2010 build. 
The Microsoft (R) 32-bit C/C++ Optimizing Compiler Version 16.00.30319.01
implements parts of C++0x based on the draft standard. An old version of
the draft had a bug that makes std::pair<T1*, T2*>(something, 0) fail to
compile. This is because the template<class U, class V> pair(U&& x, V&& y)
constructor is selected, even though it later fails to implicitly convert
U and V to frist_type and second_type.

This has been fixed in n3090, but it seems that Microsoft is not going to
update msvc.

d720670393 The BlockExtractorPass() constructor was not reading the BlockFile and that was 
exactly what bugpoint expected it to do.

There was also only one user of
BlockExtractorPass(const std::vector<BasicBlock*> &B), so just remove it and
make BlockExtractorPass read BlockFile.

This fixes bugpoint's block extraction.

82bd5eaa71 Centralize the logic to permanently unify two instructions and make sure 
it establishes a context and does a complaining diff.  Also make sure we
unify the prelude and postlude of a diff after a block-diff call.

02e116cb06 When unifying instructions during a block diff, actually complain about 
any differences we see.  This should only happen if there are "non-structural"
differences between the instructions, i.e. differences which wouldn't cause
diff to return true.

dfb44ac690 Somehow I was getting reasonable results for the test cases I was interested 
in despite not ever incrementing any path costs, so that the only nonzero costs
arose from the all-left path in the first column.  Anyway.  Perform the diff
starting from the beginning of the block to avoid capturing (say) loads of
allocas.

Vastly improves diff results on code that hasn't been mem2reg'ed.

3dd706b528 Add the llvm-diff tool, which performs a relatively naive structural 
diff of a function.  There's a lot of cruft in the current version, and
it's pretty far from perfect, but it's usable.

Currently only capable of comparing functions.  Currently ignores metadata.
Currently ignores most attributes of functions and instructions.

Patches welcome.

84ae206c97 Clone and restore the module being reduced in 
ReduceMiscompilingFunctions::TestFuncs. This makes the test functional
(i.e., no side effects).

Before we would end up using dead functions if a pass decided to remove them
(inline for example) and we would also keep broken functions and conclude that
that a single function was enough to reproduce the bug.

c510a7097b there is now no reason to link in TARGETS_TO_BUILD since we list 
arm explicitly.  X86 and ARM are the only two targets that support
disassembly, so our explicit list is enough.  These other targets
weren't getting pulled in anyway though, since there were no 
references to their symbols.

847da55716 start straightening out libedis's dependencies and make it fit 
better in the llvm world.  Among other things, this changes:

1. The guts of libedis are now moved into lib/MC/MCDisassembler
2. llvm-mc now depends on lib/MC/MCDisassembler, not tools/edis,
   so edis and mc don't have to be built in series.
3. lib/MC/MCDisassembler no longer depends on the C api, the C
   API depends on it.
4. Various code cleanup changes. 

There is still a lot to be done to make edis fit with the llvm
design, but this is an incremental step in the right direction.

8f70c3d97c Remove some broken code to check the DISABLE_EDIS flag (edis is now in the 
DIRS list, so it does no good to filter it from PARALLEL_DIRS), and replace
it with a check to disable building the shared library version of edis when
the flag is set.  Disabling it entirely does not work because MC uses it now.

5e721d7682 Implement the "linker_private_weak" linkage type. This will be used for 
Objective-C metadata types which should be marked as "weak", but which the
linker will remove upon final linkage. However, this linkage isn't specific to
Objective-C.

For example, the "objc_msgSend_fixup_alloc" symbol is defined like this:

      .globl l_objc_msgSend_fixup_alloc
      .weak_definition l_objc_msgSend_fixup_alloc
      .section __DATA, __objc_msgrefs, coalesced
      .align 3
l_objc_msgSend_fixup_alloc:
       .quad   _objc_msgSend_fixup
       .quad   L_OBJC_METH_VAR_NAME_1

This is different from the "linker_private" linkage type, because it can't have
the metadata defined with ".weak_definition".

Currently only supported on Darwin platforms.
