3a3465b71d Add a new function attribute, nonlazybind, which inhibits lazy-loading
optimizations when emitting calls to the function;  instead those calls may
use faster relocations which require the function to be immediately resolved
upon loading the dynamic object featuring the call.  This is useful when it
is known that the function will be called frequently and pervasively and
therefore there is no merit in delaying binding of the function.

Currently only implemented for x86-64, where it turns into a call through
the global offset table.

Patch by Dan Gohman, who assures me that he's going to add LangRef documentation
for this once it's committed.

fc2bb8c444 Replace the -unwind-tables option with a per function flag. This is more
LTO friendly as we can now correctly merge files compiled with or without
-fasynchronous-unwind-tables.

9fe010ecf8 Fix an order-of-deallocation issue where the AttrListImpl could be deallocated before the global

3afb024907 Fix PR8441, a race condition in the static attributes list. While the reference counting was itself threadsafe,
the implicit removal of each object from the global list was not.  Make this operation atomic.

970bfcc7d8 Add a new 'hotpatch' attribute. This attribute will insert a two-byte no-op
instruction at the beginning of each function that has the attribute, allowing
the function to be easily hooked and/or patched.

cb86def1c2 Fix a threaded LLVM bug due the need for operator= on reference counted AttrListImpl's. It might
be possible to implement this very carefully to allow a lock-free implementation while still
avoiding illegal interleavings, but I haven't been able to figure one out.

1df9859c40 There are two ways of checking for a given type, for example isa<PointerType>(T)
and T->isPointerTy().  Convert most instances of the first form to the second form.

1e063d14df Add a new function attribute, 'alignstack'. It will indicate (when the backends
implement support for it) that the stack should be forcibly realigned in the
prologue (and the process reversed in the epilogue).

570a4a5d9c Reintroduce the InlineHint function attribute.
This time it's for real! I am going to hook this up in the frontends as well.

The inliner has some experimental heuristics for dealing with the inline hint.
When given a -respect-inlinehint option, functions marked with the inline
keyword are given a threshold just above the default for -O3.

We need some experiments to determine if that is the right thing to do.

de86d473fc Add an 'inline hint' attribute to represent source
code hints that it would be a good idea to inline
a function ("inline" keyword).  No functional change
yet; FEs do not emit this and inliner does not use it.

382da62ec2 It turns out that "align 1" and unaligned are different. Add a bias to the
alignment attribute such that 0 means unaligned.

This will probably require a rebuild of llvm-gcc because of the change to
Attributes.h. If you see many test failures on "make check", please rebuild
your llvm-gcc.

e642658480 Introducing nocapture, a parameter attribute for pointers to indicate that the
callee will not introduce any new aliases of that pointer.

The attributes had all bits allocated already, so I decided to collapse
alignment. Alignment was previously stored as a 16-bit integer from bits 16 to
32 of the attribute, but it was required to be a power of 2. Now it's stored in
log2 encoded form in five bits from 16 to 21. That gives us 11 more bits of
space.

You may have already noticed that you only need four bits to encode a 16-bit
power of two, so why five bits? Because the AsmParser accepted 32-bit
alignments, even though we couldn't store them (they were silently discarded).
Now we can store them in memory, but not in the bitcode.

The bitcode format was already storing these as 64-bit VBR integers. So, the
bitcode format stays the same, keeping the alignment values stored as 16 bit
raw values. There's some hideous code in the reader and writer that deals with
this, waiting to be ripped out the moment we run out of bits again and have to
replace the parameter attributes table encoding.

19c874638d Now Attributes are divided in three groups
- return attributes - inreg, zext and sext
- parameter attributes
- function attributes - nounwind, readonly, readnone, noreturn

Return attributes use 0 as the index.
Function attributes use ~0U as the index.

This patch requires corresponding changes in llvm-gcc and clang.
