b913bd485a [ADT] Make the iterator adaptor utility a touch more general by
requiring full control over the various parameters to the std::iterator
concept / trait thing. This is a precursor for adjusting these things to
where you can write a bidirectional iterator wrapping a random access
iterator with custom increment and decrement logic.

4e0cc51d79 [PM] Add pass run listeners to the pass manager.
This commit provides the necessary C/C++ APIs and infastructure to enable fine-
grain progress report and safe suspension points after each pass in the pass
manager.

Clients can provide a callback function to the pass manager to call after each
pass. This can be used in a variety of ways (progress report, dumping of IR
between passes, safe suspension of threads, etc).

The run listener list is maintained in the LLVMContext, which allows a multi-
threaded client to be only informed for it's own thread. This of course assumes
that the client created a LLVMContext for each thread.

This fixes <rdar://problem/16728690>

25bc383612 ARM: remove @llvm.arm.sevl
This intrinsic is no longer needed with the new @llvm.arm.hint(i32) intrinsic
which provides a generic, extensible manner for adding hint instructions. This
functionality can now be represented as @llvm.arm.hint(i32 5).

04f826c062 ARM: provide a new generic hint intrinsic
Introduce the llvm.arm.hint(i32) intrinsic that can be used to inject hints into
the instruction stream. This is particularly useful for generating IR from a
compiler where the user may inject an intrinsic (e.g. __yield). These are then
pattern substituted into the correct instruction which already existed.

35f9e1aa49 [X86] Add support for Read Time Stamp Counter x86 builtin intrinsics.
This patch:
- Adds two new X86 builtin intrinsics ('int_x86_rdtsc' and
   'int_x86_rdtscp') as GCCBuiltin intrinsics;
- Teaches the backend how to lower the two new builtins;
- Introduces a common function to lower READCYCLECOUNTER dag nodes
  and the two new rdtsc/rdtscp intrinsics;
- Improves (and extends) the existing x86 test 'rdtsc.ll'; now test 'rdtsc.ll'
  correctly verifies that both READCYCLECOUNTER and the two new intrinsics
  work fine for both 64bit and 32bit Subtargets.

c95ce87c23 Make the User::value_op_iterator a random access iterator. I had written
this code ages ago and lost track of it. Seems worth doing though --
this thing can get called from places that would benefit from knowing

32791b02fa verify-di: Implement DebugInfoVerifier
Implement DebugInfoVerifier, which steals verification relying on
DebugInfoFinder from Verifier.

  - Adds LegacyDebugInfoVerifierPassPass, a ModulePass which wraps
    DebugInfoVerifier.  Uses -verify-di command-line flag.

  - Change verifyModule() to invoke DebugInfoVerifier as well as
    Verifier.

  - Add a call to createDebugInfoVerifierPass() wherever there was a
    call to createVerifierPass().

This implementation as a module pass should sidestep efficiency issues,
allowing us to turn debug info verification back on.

77f268945e [NVPTX] Add preliminary intrinsics and codegen support for textures/surfaces
This commit adds intrinsics and codegen support for the surface read/write and texture read instructions that take an explicit sampler parameter. Note that image handles are explicitly disabled for all target architectures in this change (to be enabled later).

Summary:
This patch adds backend support for -Rpass=, which indicates the name
of the optimization pass that should emit remarks stating when it
made a transformation to the code.

Pass names are taken from their DEBUG_NAME definitions.

When emitting an optimization report diagnostic, the lack of debug
information causes the diagnostic to use "<unknown>:0:0" as the
location string.

These are used in the ARM backends to aid type-checking on patterns involving

However, there's no reason to limit them to just vectors types. For example
AArch64 has the instruction "uqshrn sD, dN, #imm" which would naturally use an
intrinsic taking an i64 and returning an i32.

}
@my_alias = alias weak void ()* @my_func
@my_alias2 = alias void ()* @my_alias

We produce without this patch:

        .weak   my_alias
my_alias = my_func
        .globl  my_alias2
my_alias2 = my_alias

That is, in the resulting ELF file my_alias, my_func and my_alias are
just 3 names pointing to offset 0 of .text. That is *not* the
semantics of IR linking. For example, linking in a

@my_alias = alias void ()* @other_func

would require the strong my_alias to override the weak one and
my_alias2 would end up pointing to other_func.

There is no way to represent that with aliases being just another
name, so the best solution seems to be to just disallow it, converting
a miscompile into an error.

In CallInst, op_end() points at the callee, which we don't want to iterate over
when just iterating over arguments. Now take this into account when returning
a iterator_range from arg_operands. Similar reasoning for InvokeInst.

Also adds a unit test to verify this actually works as expected.
