Currently, we canonicalize shuffles that produce a result larger than their operands with: shuffle(concat(v1, undef), concat(v2, undef)) -> shuffle(concat(v1, v2), undef) because we can access quad vectors (see PerformVECTOR_SHUFFLECombine). This is useful in the general case, but there are special cases where native shuffles produce larger results: the two-result ops. We can look through the concat when lowering them: shuffle(concat(v1, v2), undef) -> concat(VZIP(v1, v2):0, :1) This lets us generate the native shuffles instead of scalarizing to dozens of VMOVs. Low Level Virtual Machine (LLVM) ================================ This directory and its subdirectories contain source code for LLVM, a toolkit for the construction of highly optimized compilers, optimizers, and runtime environments. LLVM is open source software. You may freely distribute it under the terms of the license agreement found in LICENSE.txt. Please see the documentation provided in docs/ for further assistance with LLVM, and in particular docs/GettingStarted.rst for getting started with LLVM and docs/README.txt for an overview of LLVM's documentation setup. If you're writing a package for LLVM, see docs/Packaging.rst for our suggestions.
