Duncan Sands f01a457026 On platforms like Sparc64 you need to pass -r to
gcc rather than directly to the linker: gcc will
then modify the linker options it generates (it
will not use --relax for example, incompatible
with -r, as it otherwise would).  This fixes the
sparc build.

optimizers, and runtime environments.
