Nuno Lopes f6fc855a00 revert r158660, since Chris has some issues with this patch (namely using code to reprent information only used by the compiler) 
Original commit msg:
add the 'alloc' metadata node to represent the size of offset of buffers pointed to by pointers.
This metadata can be attached to any instruction returning a pointer

Low Level Virtual Machine (LLVM)
================================

This directory and its subdirectories contain source code for the Low Level
Virtual Machine, a toolkit for the construction of highly optimized compilers,
optimizers, and runtime environments.

LLVM is open source software. You may freely distribute it under the terms of
the license agreement found in LICENSE.txt.
