VS2017 support (#4)

* VS2017 support

* Requested updates made. I think I hit them all...

* adding .gitignore and deleting a ton of stuff that got accidentally checked in.

* Removed all unused refs via ReSharper.  Project build and installs properly on VS2017, have not tested earlier versions.
