Welcome to the SmartyKit 1 assembly guide and instructions!

Following simple steps you would be able to build your own Apple I-compatible computer out of our SmartyKit 1 kit (http://apple1.smartykit.org/).

Every kit goes with:

• breadboards (4 + 1),
• chips with firmware,
• electronic components (resistors, buttons, capacitors, crystals),
• wires,
• colored cables,
• PS/2 and RCA sockets.

General steps

Steps are organized as board-by-board assembly sequence.

1. connecting 4 boards for main components and assembling power supply with test LED
2. assembly Board 1
3. assembly Board 2
4. assembly Board 3
5. assembly Board 4
6. connecting colored cables (and use board 5 to connect 3 address cables and 3 data cables)
7. connecting Keyboard (PS/2) and TV (via RCA cable) Then you connect batteries and it should work.
