127eea87d6 X86 Peephole: fold loads to the source register operand if possible.
Add more comments and use early returns to reduce nesting in isLoadFoldable.
Also disable folding for V_SET0 to avoid introducing a const pool entry and
a const pool load.

d7d003c2b7 X86 Peephole: fold loads to the source register operand if possible.
Machine CSE and other optimizations can remove instructions so folding
is possible at peephole while not possible at ISel.

This patch is a rework of r160919 and was tested on clang self-host on my local
machine.

33242fd3ed Add an experimental early if-conversion pass, off by default.
This pass performs if-conversion on SSA form machine code by
speculatively executing both sides of the branch and using a cmov
instruction to select the result. This can help lower the number of
branch mispredictions on architectures like x86 that don't have
predicable instructions.

The current implementation is very aggressive, and causes regressions on
mosts tests. It needs good heuristics that have yet to be implemented.

0d9513c74f Make NumMicroOps a variable in the subtarget's instruction itinerary.
The TargetInstrInfo::getNumMicroOps API does not change, but soon it
will be used by MachineScheduler. Now each subtarget can specify the
number of micro-ops per itinerary class. For ARM, this is currently
always dynamic (-1), because it is used for load/store multiple which
depends on the number of register operands.

Zero is now a valid number of micro-ops. This can be used for
nop pseudo-instructions or instructions that the hardware can squash
during dispatch.

0a39d4e4c8 misched: Added ScoreboardHazardRecognizer.
The Hazard checker implements in-order contraints, or interlocked
resources. Ready instructions with hazards do not enter the available
queue and are not visible to other heuristics.

The major code change is the addition of SchedBoundary to encapsulate
the state at the top or bottom of the schedule, including both a
pending and available queue.

The scheduler now counts cycles in sync with the hazard checker. These
are minimum cycle counts based on known hazards.

Targets with no itinerary (x86_64) currently remain at cycle 0. To fix
this, we need to provide some maximum issue width for all targets. We
also need to add the concept of expected latency vs. minimum latency.

397fc4874e Add an MF argument to TRI::getPointerRegClass() and TII::getRegClass().
The getPointerRegClass() hook can return register classes that depend on
the calling convention of the current function (ptr_rc_tailcall).

So far, we have been able to infer the calling convention from the
subtarget alone, but as we add support for multiple calling conventions
per target, that no longer works.

8787c5f24e Add a if-conversion optimization that allows 'true' side of a diamond to be
unpredicated. That is, turn
 subeq r0, r1, #1
 addne r0, r1, #1
into
 sub r0, r1, #1
 addne r0, r1, #1

For targets where conditional instructions are always executed, this may be
beneficial. It may remove pseudo anti-dependency in out-of-order execution
CPUs. e.g.
 op r1, ...
 str r1, [r10] ; end-of-life of r1 as div result
 cmp r0, #65
 movne r1, #44 ; raw dependency on previous r1
 moveq r1, #12

If movne is unpredicated, then
 op r1, ...
 str r1, [r10]
 cmp r0, #65
 mov r1, #44 ; r1 written unconditionally
 moveq r1, #12

Both mov and moveq are no longer depdendent on the first instruction. This gives
the out-of-order execution engine more freedom to reorder them.

This has passed entire LLVM test suite. But it has not been enabled for any ARM
variant pending more performance evaluation.

c2ecf3efbf Break false dependencies before partial register updates.
Two new TargetInstrInfo hooks lets the target tell ExecutionDepsFix
about instructions with partial register updates causing false unwanted
dependencies.

The ExecutionDepsFix pass will break the false dependencies if the
updated register was written in the previoius N instructions.

The small loop added to sse-domains.ll runs twice as fast with
dependency-breaking instructions inserted.

3be654f808 Lower ARM adds/subs to add/sub after adding optional CPSR operand.
This is still a hack until we can teach tblgen to generate the
optional CPSR operand rather than an implicit CPSR def. But the
strangeness is now limited to the selection DAG. ADD/SUB MI's no
longer have implicit CPSR defs, nor do we allow flag setting variants
of these opcodes in machine code. There are several corner cases to
consider, and getting one wrong would previously lead to nasty
miscompilation. It's not the first time I've debugged one, so this
time I added enough verification to ensure it won't happen again.

e0ef509aeb Increased the register pressure limit on x86_64 from 8 to 12
regs. This is the only change in this checkin that may affects the
default scheduler. With better register tracking and heuristics, it
doesn't make sense to artificially lower the register limit so much.

Added -sched-high-latency-cycles and X86InstrInfo::isHighLatencyDef to
give the scheduler a way to account for div and sqrt on targets that
don't have an itinerary. It is currently defaults to 10 (the actual
number doesn't matter much), but only takes effect on non-default
schedulers: list-hybrid and list-ilp.

Added several heuristics that can be individually disabled for the
non-default sched=list-ilp mode. This helps us determine how much
better we can do on a given benchmark than the default
scheduler. Certain compute intensive loops run much faster in this
mode with the right set of heuristics, and it doesn't seem to have
much negative impact elsewhere. Not all of the heuristics are needed,
but we still need to experiment to decide which should be disabled by
default for sched=list-ilp.

9fe2009956 Sorry, several patches in one.
TargetInstrInfo:
Change produceSameValue() to take MachineRegisterInfo as an optional argument.
When in SSA form, targets can use it to make more aggressive equality analysis.

Machine LICM:
1. Eliminate isLoadFromConstantMemory, use MI.isInvariantLoad instead.
2. Fix a bug which prevent CSE of instructions which are not re-materializable.
3. Use improved form of produceSameValue.

ARM:
1. Teach ARM produceSameValue to look pass some PIC labels.
2. Look for operands from different loads of different constant pool entries
   which have same values.
3. Re-implement PIC GA materialization using movw + movt. Combine the pair with
a "add pc" or "ldr [pc]" to form pseudo instructions. This makes it possible
to re-materialize the instruction, allow machine LICM to hoist the set of
instructions out of the loop and make it possible to CSE them. It's a bit
hacky, but it significantly improve code quality.
4. Some minor bug fixes as well.

With the fixes, using movw + movt to materialize GAs significantly outperform the
load from constantpool method. 186.crafty and 255.vortex improved > 20%, 254.gap

2da8bc8a5f Various bits of framework needed for precise machine-level selection
DAG scheduling during isel. Most new functionality is currently
guarded by -enable-sched-cycles and -enable-sched-hazard.

Added InstrItineraryData::IssueWidth field, currently derived from
ARM itineraries, but could be initialized differently on other targets.

Added ScheduleHazardRecognizer::MaxLookAhead to indicate whether it is
active, and if so how many cycles of state it holds.

Added SchedulingPriorityQueue::HasReadyFilter to allowing gating entry
into the scheduler's available queue.

ScoreboardHazardRecognizer now accesses the ScheduleDAG in order to
get information about it's SUnits, provides RecedeCycle for bottom-up
scheduling, correctly computes scoreboard depth, tracks IssueCount, and
considers potential stall cycles when checking for hazards.

ScheduleDAGRRList now models machine cycles and hazards (under
flags). It tracks MinAvailableCycle, drives the hazard recognizer and
priority queue's ready filter, manages a new PendingQueue, properly
accounts for stall cycles, etc.

c4af4638df Remove ARM isel hacks that fold large immediates into a pair of add, sub, and,
and xor. The 32-bit move immediates can be hoisted out of loops by machine
LICM but the isel hacks were preventing them.

Instead, let peephole optimization pass recognize registers that are defined by
immediates and the ARM target hook will fold the immediates in.

Other changes include 1) do not fold and / xor into cmp to isel TST / TEQ
instructions if there are multiple uses. This happens when the 'and' is live
out, machine sink would have sinked the computation and that ends up pessimizing
code. The peephole pass would recognize situations where the 'and' can be
toggled to define CPSR and eliminate the comparison anyway.

2) Move peephole pass to after machine LICM, sink, and CSE to avoid blocking
important optimizations.

eb96a2f6c0 Code clean up. The peephole pass should be the one updating the instruction
iterator, not TII->OptimizeCompareInstr.

8239daf7c8 Two sets of changes. Sorry they are intermingled.
1. Fix pre-ra scheduler so it doesn't try to push instructions above calls to
"optimize for latency". Call instructions don't have the right latency and
this is more likely to use introduce spills.
2. Fix if-converter cost function. For ARM, it should use instruction latencies,
not # of micro-ops since multi-latency instructions is completely executed
even when the predicate is false. Also, some instruction will be "slower"
when they are predicated due to the register def becoming implicit input.
